To further strengthen its position as a strategic partner to its clients, Laboratorios Plásticos inaugurated its new facilities in the La Plata Production Area (Buenos Aires), showcasing all the experience the company has gained over its 43-year history.
“Today, we have the plant we always dreamed of,” said Gustavo Pepe, one of the company’s key representatives, in a conversation with MOTIVAR about the features of the plastic packaging plant, which is set up on a total area of 1,500 square meters.
In turn, Carlos Layun, managing partner of the company, highlighted that operations at this site began in late November 2024, quickly reaching a production pace of around 2 million plastic containers (of various sizes and formats) per month.
“Today, 85% of our production goes to laboratories that sell veterinary pharmaceuticals and biologics; 10% to the cosmetics industry; and 5% to human pharmaceuticals,” Layun explained to MOTIVAR.
The New Plant
This modern production facility includes administrative offices, meeting rooms, and ample spaces for staff training, as well as areas specifically designed for the more than 40 employees working there from Monday to Saturday, in three daily shifts—including a dedicated first aid room.
“We now produce over 2 million plastic containers per month.”
“After three years of effort, we’ve finally established this plant on our own property—a 1,500-square-meter site designed to be modern and functional, allowing us to professionalize processes and continue ensuring the quality of the containers we’ve been manufacturing since 2002,” said Gustavo Pepe.

“We want to continue supporting the challenges of the veterinary industry with new developments and greater competitiveness,” he added, pointing out that, in addition to serving the domestic market, the company now offers its products and services to international clients as well.
He continued: “Even though we manufacture plastic packaging, our mission is to work under the same standards, practices, and processes as laboratories. It’s a source of pride to have achieved that.”
“We have the capacity to triple our production.”
Within this framework, the plant’s cleanroom plays a vital role. This approximately 50-square-meter structure is located at the heart of the production area, equipped with double-glazed walls, sanitary baseboards, positive pressure, air systems, and procedures designed to minimize any potential contamination. The entire process is closely monitored by the quality control department, which complements Laboratorios Plásticos’ production process.
“We are undoubtedly proud. We’ve invested to ensure that companies continue to trust Laboratorios Plásticos. Today, we have what we call a Boutique Plant—with significant growth potential. We could even triple our current production,” Layun emphasized.
All of this has been made possible thanks to substantial investments made by Laboratorios Plásticos in recent years, including the acquisition of 10 internationally certified machines capable of producing packaging that ranges from 10-milliliter bottles to 5-liter jugs, covering a broad variety of formats.

Quality as a Core Value
Since 1982, Laboratorios Plásticos has specialized in manufacturing plastic containers and products, always prioritizing innovation to serve the market comprehensively, with quality at the heart of its business model. Today, the company holds two key certifications:
- ISO 9001-2015 Certification: These international quality standards provide guidelines that enable companies to organize their operations for continuous improvement of products and services, driven by a quality management system aimed at customer satisfaction.
- IQNET Certification: This certification, awarded through prestigious international bodies like RINA (Italy), and backed by annual audits, reinforces customer trust, especially in pharmaceutical and veterinary industries, ensuring efficient processes in management, production, and sales, while also promoting environmental protection.
Finally, Gustavo Pepe and Carlos Layun invited veterinary laboratories to continue relying on the company’s products and services.
“One of our main challenges is to continue supplying both the Argentine and export markets.”
They concluded: “We’ve transformed the craft of manufacturing plastic materials into a scientific work method, leading to a sophisticated production system compatible with industries that demand strict microenvironmental controls—such as pharmaceuticals, veterinary, and cosmetics. Our aim is to produce packaging that goes beyond being mere product containers, becoming barriers against physical, chemical, and microbial contamination.”
